Holy cow, I felt like I was put through the ringer to get to the end of this book. As with A Beautiful Mess and a Tragic Wreck, we are knee deep in suspense while being entertained by the sex on stick Mr. Burnham and his bedroom exploits. After getting back together with Alexander, Olivia is happy, yet sill concerned about her heavy protection detail assigned to her by her fiancee. She isn't dumb, she realizes that Alexander is keeping something from her and the more detail assigned, the madder she gets about the secrets being kept from her. She is still dreaming about her green eyed boy, however he now has a voice and that voice is Alexander's. She is just so close, but ends up so far from figuring out what in the hell is going on.
There is a wedding to plan and a mystery to solve. Things are getting uglier by the second for Olivia as Simon and that b-word Adele work together with Donavan to jog Olivia's memory and get her away from Alexander and his protection detail. Of course we know there is a mole in the group and she is constant trouble for Alex, leaving Olivia more vulnerable than ever this time around. Alexander knows he needs to tell Olivia about her past, but as things get thicker, he keeps putting it off, until finally it is too late. This is the most action packed book of the three and went places that I didn't see coming. There is a lot of tragedy in Olivia's life and you just wonder how she is ever going to make it through.
Although engaged, Alexander and Olivia are on very shaky ground still, constantly at each others throats, which made for some fantastic make up sex. Again we have a well written, action packed, sexy book on our hands. All of the characters work well around Alex and Olivia, especially Cam. This guy is a freaking saint and I think T.K. Leigh needs to tell his story, there is just something about sweet Cam that tugs at my heart strings. It is a fantastic ending to a fantastic series and the prologue at the end was crazy.

Gorgeous Chaos Beautiful Mess Book 3 edition by TK Leigh Kim Young Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
When I started reading this, it was after I read Tyler's story (Chasing the Dragon/Slaying the Dragon). I enjoyed that pair of books so much! Even thought I would enjoy reading TK's other books. But now I will not be able to. I absolutely CAN'T STAND the female lead in this book. If I have to read another scene where a lead character behaves like she did, it will be too soon.
The trilogy starts off promising. Young boy loses his love only to find her again as an adult. Good. Both have hang ups. Ok. The problem? SHE CAN'T F'ING LET IT GO! And then to compound it, HE CONTINUES TO LET IT TORTURE HIM! And it gets worse as the series progresses. By book 3, I can't wait to get to the end. Nowhere in romance fantasy worlds or reality is it okay for the lead character to repeatedly run into another's arms when she was mad and the significant other being ok with it.
If you like this author, don't read this trilogy. Granted, I should've given this review for the first book, but I didn't know til now how it was going to go. I think this may have been her first set of books written. The overall plot with the mystery was good but the relationship between Olivia and Alexander was not. Start with Tyler's but don't go here!
I started out enjoying the Beautiful Mess series. The first book held my attention, for the most part, though I found the sex scenes to be repetitive, too frequent, and finally, boring.
By the second book, I was so sick of the "heroine" (I use the term loosely) all too often acting childishly, immature, and overly dramatic (how many times did she need to fall to the floor and sob?). I also became annoyed with Alex who couldn't seem to bring himself to share the secret he should have divulged to her from the very beginning of their relationship.
And then there was Cam - who I had great hope for in the beginning. He was lighter, more energetic and FUN than any of the other characters in the story. He was more in sync with reality, more stable, more grounded. But then he fell in love with the "damsel in distress" - a storyline which I found to be disingenuous when compared to the original portrayal of his personality. I also didn't understand why the author found it necessary to reintroduce him in later chapters of the series only to have him slink off in rejection time and time again.
Characters other than Olivia and Alex were never developed enough to hold any real interest to the reader. A trilogy SHOULD seek to develop other characters and character plots, in my opinion. Otherwise, what's the point in continuing the story beyond the first book? In fact Olivia's and Alex's characters weren't developed enough to merit three books about them. Predictable sex scenes endlessly filled the pages to make up for the lack of details about their lives.
By the third book, I was just over it all. But I regrettably hung in there to read the all too predictable ending. I think the third installment should have been called THE BIG BAD MESS instead of A Gorgeous Chaos. Chaos, maybe. Gorgeous, NOT.
If you enjoy reading about wealthy, immature, narcissistic adults who don't give a damn about anyone other than themselves, you might enjoy this series. If not, save your money.
