I knew 4% into this book (thank you kindle), that I was going to love it. The characters are so well written that I can see all of them clearly in my head. I understand them, love them, and about halfway through became convinced I was going to cry with them. Some of the things they do may not be looked upon with the kindest eyes by everyone but they fit the characters and make them real. This is the kind of book that I refer to as a child-neglect book, as in I neglect my children while I read. Fear not, no need to dial CPS, dinner was made, children were fed and put into bed and then I read until after midnight because I HAD to finish this book. I had to know what happened. This is the kind of book people should aspire to write.

I so enjoyed this book. It made me laugh, made me gasp, and kept me turning those pages. I was also surprisingly satisfied with the ending. In a world full of philosophical book endings that leave the reader feeling frustrated, it was nice to feel a sense of closure. Can't wait to get my hands on the sequel!
I have followed this book since the first time it was posted on fictionpress,net. I loved (Or hated -I'm sorry Tierney but AJ is still the character I love to hate-) the characters in this book as much as I did when I was a young teenager searching for fun stories online. Now I'm an adult. I actually dug out the old printed out copy of the original take on the story and compared it. The characters grew and became more real, the story felt more real. I will always love Nyx and the boys of Crashbang, and I will always love Christopher, Jeremy and Tristan too.

It isn't the trashy teen book you think it would be when compared to other young adult books that look like this one. Along the lines of Gossip Girl and Rainbow Boys, Lifestyles is a great read that keeps you turning the pages.
A fun modern-day Cinderella story! I can't wait until the next book comes out. (hopefully there will be a second!)
I always like a good book when I travel to make the flights/layovers go by quickly. This book both kept my attention and grew my anticipation as it was easy to start the next chapter when the last one ended. It was the perfect pick to take on a trip!

I love how the author describes the characters - I felt like I knew them personally by the end of the book! Can't wait to read her next novel!
I really enjoyed it. This was a nice change of pace for me. I loooooved Nyx! Really all the characters were so well-developed. I loved how the story is one we all know, yet Tierney told it in such a unique way. I'm looking forward to the sequel!
I good read, even if it is not normally my type of book. I would not normally read romance / teen (?) drama book, but it was recommended to me, and I did enjoy the read. The main character is quite lovable, and well thought out. I feel like I have some understanding of the core set of characters, but I was personally not attached to many of them.

The writing itself is well done, and flows quite well. I did not find myself stumbling over the book, however, because of my personality, during some of the more dramatic scenes, I was hoping for them to be over to get onto the next thing.
Oh Tierney, Tierney, TIERNEY!!! I have so much to say about this story! I met this author at SaSS16 in Norfolk, VA and had never read any of her material. Ms. Tierney Fowler sold me on this story with the fact that if I loved Gossip Girl then I will enjoy this her books....SHE WAS COMPLETELY CORRECT!!!

I loved this book something fierce, I could not put it down!! I wanted to smack Nyx a few times and there is quite a bit of jumping around with the amount of characters but nothing is missed with the jumping. Tristan, Jeremy, Christopher, Chad, A.J. and everyone else just fit together perfectly! It is heartfelt, funny, sweet, angsty, and just all around perfect for a Young Adult story!
